Social responsibility
Find out more about how we approach working conditions in our supply chain – from our Code of Conduct and the way we work with our production partners to our collaboration with the Fair Wear Foundation report.
Environment & Resources
On this page, you'll learn how we at OCEANSAPART approach topics around the environment and resources. This includes our CO₂ calculations, how we handle materials, and our internal guidelines on environmental and chemical management.
Raw Materials & Products
We deliver our products without any extra packaging, helping to reduce waste and use resources more consciously. The only exception is light-coloured items — these are packed in polybags to keep them clean and protected. We’re also working on using more recycled materials in our clothing to make more responsible choices. More to come on this soon!

We don't see ourselves as a sustainable company – because like any manufacturing business, we consume resources and generate emissions.
What we do, however, is consciously address our impact and develop further where we have direct influence.
That starts with our own working environment. We regularly assess where we can save resources or improve structures in our offices. Not perfect – but mindful and continuous. Some examples from our offices:
🌱 Environment- 100% electricity from renewable energy sources
- Office supplies that we choose consciously
💛 Community
- Mental health support in collaboration with Nilo Health
- Flexible work models like remote work and three offices where furry friends are welcome too
- A work environment that considers diverse needs – including accessible spaces
But for us, responsibility doesn't end at the office. Along our supply chain, we also systematically address social and environmental impacts. We continuously develop our material strategy and regularly assess where the use of recycled materials is technically viable and feasible.
Additionally, we collaborate with the Fair Wear Foundation and systematically analyse our supply chain and working conditions at our production partners.
Perfection doesn't exist in global supply chains – but we can develop our processes step by step. -
We take responsibility for the people in our supply chain. We're aware that fair working conditions are not a state you achieve once, but a continuous process.
That's why we work on creating transparency, systematically identifying risks along our supply chain and deriving appropriate measures for improvement. We continuously develop our internal sourcing processes. We maintain regular dialogue with our production partners and actively address working conditions. Additionally, we collaborate with the Fair Wear Foundation, through which we aim to identify risks in the supply chain early and implement concrete measures to reduce them step by step.
We also rely on external audits – for example within the framework of amfori BSCI or comparable standards – to better assess risks and initiate targeted improvements. -
For 2024, we calculated our CO₂ emissions. Scope 3 emissions from areas such as products, transportation and business travel were captured, as reliable data for potential Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions was not available for the period reviewed. The results help us better understand where we can take action – for example with materials and in our production.
-
For us, sustainability is not a state but a continuous development process.
Currently, our focus is on creating more transparency in our supply chain and further expanding our internal processes. We take a closer look – at working conditions, materials and environmental impacts – with the goal of analysing these topics thoroughly and deriving concrete next steps.
We know that this process takes time. That's why it's all the more important for us to stay open, keep learning and take responsibility along the supply chain in a structured way.
